Martin Bartlett (1939-1993) was a West Coast-based composer who worked with, among others, the composers/performers
Pauline Oliveros and
David Tudor, but his work, unfortunately, largely eluded wider recognition. As represented on the album
Burning Water, he was very involved with interactive electronics, programming both computers and synthesizers to interact in real time with live performers.
