Andrew Giddings was born in the U.K. in 1963. He began playing piano at a very young age. After playing keyboards in a number of unknown bands, he eventually landed a gig playing in Eric Burdon's band. He next hooked up with Leo Sayer and stayed with that group for five years, squeezing in work with Sniff 'n' the Tears in those years. After that group, he joined Jethro Tull.
