Fort St. John's Denny Morrison has taken home the Jeremy Wotherspoon Award as Canada's Long Track Male Skater of the Year.

It's the sixth time the 26 year old has won the award.

Morrison was world champion in the 1500 metre distance, and is the top ranked speedskater in Canada at the 1000 and 1500 metre distance.

He won two silvers and a bronze medal on the world circuit, and finished in the Top 10 in 12 out of 13 World Cup meets this season.
