The peace region is known for it's busy arts scene, and now there's more of a chance to support local artists

This Saturday, a new Arts Market starts up at the Artspost in Fort St. John. Many different local artists are expected, from painters to writers to craftspeople.

Nina Elias is a local artist who spearheaded the Arts Market effort. She says it's a collaboration of the entire community, and there will be something for almost everyone. "you have this huge collaboration of different from different mediums just kind of colliding and doing something cool for the community".

The inaugural Arts Market is August 11th from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Artspost on 104th Street and 94th Avenue in Fort St. John.
